Natural odds assume independent rerolls at a constant published rate. A probability is not a promise.

Overall rate equals the rarity rate multiplied by the trait's share inside that rarity. Expected rolls are long-run averages, not guarantees.

Pity results model the displayed target counter as a hard guarantee. If the game handles the counter differently after an update, use natural odds until this page is revised.

Data checked: 2026-08-15. Game Trait Index shown in launch gameplay Beebom trait effects and within-rarity table

What is the Immortal trait chance in Anime Origins?

The natural Immortal chance is 0.1% per reroll, because the Secret rarity is shown at 0.1% and Immortal takes 100% of that rarity pool. Without pity, that works out to:

RerollsChance of at least one Immortal
101.00%
1009.52%
50039.36%
1,00063.23%
1,30072.76%

Those percentages are natural probability, not a promise. The captured launch Trait Index also displays an Immortal pity target of 1,300. When the calculator’s pity option is enabled, it treats reaching the remaining target distance as guaranteed.

How many rerolls do I need for Immortal?

With the 0.1% natural rate, 693 rerolls reach at least a 50% chance, 2,302 reach 90%, and 4,603 reach 99%. These are probability milestones, so an individual player can get Immortal earlier or still miss after passing one of them.

The displayed 1,300 target changes the practical upper bound if it functions as a hard pity. Starting from zero progress, the model caps the 90% and 99% milestones at 1,300. If your counter already shows 1,000, enter 1,000 under current pity progress; the modeled guarantee is then 300 rerolls away.

What is the Mythic trait chance?

The Trait Index shows the whole Mythic pool at 4.05% per reroll, or about one Mythic every 24.7 rerolls as a long-run average. A specific Mythic is less common because its share inside that pool must also be applied.

For example, Overseer is shown as 4.1% of Mythics. Its overall natural rate is therefore 4.05% × 4.1% = 0.16605%, which is roughly one Overseer every 602 rerolls on average. Select Any Mythic trait when you care about the rarity, or select Overseer, Rupture, Decay, Stride, Ascendant, Joker, or Hustler for a specific result.

How the reroll probability is calculated

For a target with per-reroll probability p and a budget of n rerolls, the chance of getting at least one is:

1 - (1 - p)^n

The calculator first derives each specific trait’s overall rate:

rarity rate × share within that rarity = overall trait rate

It then applies the at-least-one formula. The calculation assumes each natural reroll is independent and that the displayed rates stay constant. “Expected rerolls” is the long-run average 1 ÷ p; it is not the point where a result becomes guaranteed.

Which pity counters are included?

The captured Trait Index shows target counters for Ascendant (425), Stride (475), Decay (525), Rupture (550), Joker (700), Overseer (900), and Immortal (1,300). No target-specific counter was visible for Hustler in the same footage, so this calculator does not invent one.

The pity model uses the counter as a hard cap on the selected target. It does not assume that a rarity-wide target applies to every trait in that rarity. Game updates can change rates or counter behavior, so compare the value displayed in your current Trait Index with this page before committing a large reroll budget.

Why do some Stride and Decay percentages differ elsewhere?

The launch gameplay Trait Index shows Stride at 16.5% and Decay at 14.5% inside the Mythic pool. Beebom’s August 15 table lists those two shares in the opposite order. This calculator follows the in-game panel shown in the captured launch footage and discloses the difference instead of silently blending the two sources.

Trait effects and within-rarity shares are cross-checked against Beebom’s Anime Origins traits guide and the Trait Index shown in Everything You NEED to Know About Anime Origins. Data was checked August 15, 2026.

How should I use rerolls efficiently?

Set a budget before rolling, use the calculator to understand the downside, and stop when you land a trait that fits the unit’s job. A lower-rarity cooldown, range, income, or damage trait can be more useful than an expensive target that does not match the unit.

Anime Origins trait calculator FAQ

Does 1,000 rerolls guarantee Immortal?

No, not from natural odds alone. At 0.1% per reroll, 1,000 attempts give about a 63.23% chance of at least one Immortal. A guarantee depends on your displayed pity progress; from zero, the captured target is 1,300.

Can I calculate 100, 500, or 1,000 rerolls?

Yes. Use the preset buttons or enter any custom value from 1 to 1,000,000. The result link stores the selected trait, reroll count, and pity setting so you can share the same calculation.

Is a 50% chance the same as the average number of rerolls?

No. For Immortal, the natural 50% milestone is 693 rerolls, while the natural expected value is 1,000. The first is a probability threshold; the second is a long-run average across many players or repeated experiments.

Does the calculator predict my exact result?

No. It calculates probability from the published rates and models displayed target pity. Random outcomes can arrive early or late, and future balance updates may change the inputs.
